Philosophy describes the human quest for wisdom. In most cases, both Eastern and Western ideals of this quest seeks to optimize this life in preparation for the next.

My interests include the philosophy of science, of mind and of religion. The human experience as Homo sapiens began with the first minds evolved to wonder at the bright lights in the sky, the nature of both, life and death, and how best to cope with the challenges of staying alive.

Understanding what it means to be human draws from the scientific inferences, philosophical speculations and religious insights, each discipline offering unique perspectives of what constitutes us.

Scientific studies bring empirical evidence to bear, philosophy examines our inferences for coherence and consistency while religious insights dig deep into our primeval subconscious apprehensions embedded in the wisdom literature of sacred texts.
